Nu-Harvest is a community-oriented
company committed to eco-sustainability to protect our children’s
futures. The owners, Andrew and Karen Woodford, gave up profitable
horticultural and health related careers to put their beliefs into
practice. They formed the company Nu-Harvest
which is based on the following values :
Nu-Harvest are committed to re-building our food-growing soils using
quality compost and re-mineralising at high levels.
This ensures that vitamins and minerals are enhanced in our food
naturally.
Produce is delivered to your door within a few days of being
picked, unlike the food you buy from supermarkets that generates
"Frequent Flyer Miles" as it passes through the numerous
‘middlemen’ between the grower and the supermarket.
We guarantee friendly, personalised customer service while
keeping your costs low through using the internet, phone or fax
to take your orders, instead of expensive retail shopfronts.
Nu-Harvest supports local farmers
who grow nutritionally complete, clean and safe food.
We encourage sustainability and minimise waste by using recyclable
packaging systems. Boxes are returned to Nu-Harvest,
cleaned, re-packed with produce and delivered to your door each
week.
We will keep you informed about what is really happening to
our foods. Franklin D. Roosevelt said "A nation that destroys
its soils destroys itself." See the range of articles in
‘The Real Story’ to find out what’s really happening
to the fruit and vegies you eat. You may be shocked to learn about
the high levels of chemicals that are banned in Australia but
are used in growing imported produce.
