How it Works

Welcome to ordering at Nu-Harvest. We offer excellent products, a convenient online shopping experience, secure online payment and home delivery.

For those without internet access we also have our fruit and vegetable packs available by phone order. You can phone us on 07 5445 0211 on Mondays and Tuesdays to order.

Our minimum order is $30. Our insulated van keeps your order crispy fresh so your order gets to you in better condition than when you buy it from a shop.

 

Ordering is easy – On Line

Why not start with a Pre-Packed Seasonal pack? Choices are a $35 (family) or $50 (large) pack plus any extra items of your choice e.g. a dozen free range eggs.

It’s easy – simply follow the prompts:

  • Click on shopping list and select your first category
  • Click on the select box for the desired items
  • When you’ve ordered everything you need from each page you must click on the add to cart icon. You will then be shown the contents of your cart at this time
  • To delete an item, just remove the tick and click on reset to adjust
  • To keep shopping select another category
  • When you’re happy with your order, click on check out. If you’ve shopped with us before just type in your email address and your details are automatically inserted for you. First time users need to complete all the required fields. Don’t forget to tell us where you’d like your box put if you’re not at home.
  • If you save your order you can click on most recent order next time to make ordering easier.

You will then be transferred to the Bendigo Bank Payment Gateway. This is a secure payment gateway and Nu-Harvest do not see any of your credit card details. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Bankcard. Direct deposit of funds is also an option if you do not have a credit card. Payment is required by Tuesday 7 pm.

Email confirmation with all the details of your order will be sent to you. Whichever method you choose, the arrangements for your first order will be confirmed, usually by phone.

 

 

What quantities can I order?

Some items are ordered by their weight (e.g. potatoes, tomatoes, beans etc) and others by the piece. Items by kg are in pre-set quantities eg 0.5, 1, 2 or 5 kg packs depending on what the item is.

 

Will the weights in the order be exact?

Not all (in fact none) vegetables stop growing when they get to a certain weight. That’s what makes growing fruit and vegies for a set harvest date a real challenge. This is also the interesting alternative to selecting your vegies and then taking them to the cashier to get weighed and priced.

So, when packing it is not possible to be perfectly accurate, but we ensure that it will "balance out". In other words, if some items are below the weight ordered, others will be over and we will tend to round in your favour.

 

Is my payment secure?

Yes! We use Bendigo (Community) Bank because we genuinely believe in community. The payment facility with Bendigo is a Secure Payment Gateway which ensures your bank details remain completely confidential. We don’t have access to your banking details at any time.

 

How else can I pay for my order?

For orders by fax or phone (pre-selected boxes of fruit and vegetables) you can pay by direct debit into our bank account or else arrange an alternative payment system with us personally.

 

What if my family don’t like everything in the pack?

You have the opportunity to record on line anything that you don’t eat. Please limit this to 3 items.
